Losi™, Quick Change Engine Mount

Installation Guide:

1.Disconnect the throttle linkage, fuel and pressure

lines from engine and pipe.

2.Remove the engine and exhaust system by

removing the four engine mount screws, and one

pipe mount screw.

3.Remove both engine mounts from the engine.

4.Apply Loctite® to threads of the supplied 5-40 x ½

cap head screws and washers. Install an engine top

block to each side of the engine with the arrows

pointing towards the clutch. Only thread each

screw in a few turns.

5.Place the engine assembly on the base mount and

fully tighten the screws installed in the previous

step, this will ensure the locating pins are correctly

aligned.

6.Attach the Top Mount to the Base with the supplied

5-40 x ½ cap-head screws; apply Loctite

® to the

screws threads.

7.Place the engine assembly into the chassis and re-

install the engine and pipe mounting screws. Set

the proper gear mesh before fully tightening the

screws.

8.Re-attach the throttle linkage, fuel and pressure

lines.

9.Check for proper throttle and brake linkage

adjustment.

***Note***

(Installing the top block with the arrows pointing

away from the clutch will move the engine forward

2mm, allowing correct alignment of aftermarket and

standard 3-shoe clutches). Do not install the engine

in the forward position, when using the standard 4-

shoe clutch damage to the fuel tank will occur.

This engine mount can not be used with engines

equipped with a pull or spin start systems.
